How to Post a Job on HRISCareers.com: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Employer Sign-Up & Registration

If you are a new employer on our platform, your first step is to register. HRISCareers uses Dropboard, a seamless software integration, to manage our job listings, user accounts, and payments securely.

  1. Head to the HRISCareers.com homepage.
  2. Under Current HRIS Job Postings, click the button for detailed instructions or simply look for the Post Your HRIS Job button at the top of any page.
  3. Fill out the Employer Sign-Up form with your organization’s details:
    • Organization Name
    • Email Address
    • First and Last Name
    • Company Logo (Optional): Highly recommended! Adding a 50px height logo makes your listing look more professional and recognizable to job seekers.
  4. Answer a couple of quick questions, including how you heard about us and which posting package you are most interested in.
  5. Choose your plan. Our options include:
    • Basic Posting ($49): Includes a standard 30-day listing.
    • Featured Listing ($149): Includes a 60-day listing highlighted and pushed to the top of our board. It is also pushed out twice in our dedicated HRIS professional email newsletter with more than 2,500 subscribers.
    • Custom packages are also available if you have spoken to our team previously.
  6. Click Submit Request. Our team reviews registrations quickly, and you will receive a confirmation email with your login credentials once approved.

Step 2: Accessing Your Dashboard & Completing Payment

Once approved, you can log back into your Dropboard employer portal to purchase and manage your job credits.

  1. Navigate to your dashboard and click Create Job under the Job Listings tab.
  2. Select your desired posting package.
  3. Click Continue to Checkout.
  4. You will be redirected to a secure Stripe checkout page to complete your credit card payment.

Step 3: Drafting Your Job Posting

Once payment is processed, you’ll be taken directly to the job creation editor. Our editor seamlessly retains your source text’s formatting (like bold headers and bullet points), making it incredibly easy to copy and paste requirements from your existing ATS or internal documents.

Fill out the following fields:

  • Job Title: 🔥 Pro-Tip from the Video: We highly recommend adding the salary or hourly rate range directly into the title line (e.g., HRIS Consultant – $47.50 – $55.00/hr). This ensures it displays in a large, bold format directly on the job board grid, helping your posting stand out massively.
  • Description: Paste your full description, including responsibilities, requirements, and system specifications (e.g., PeopleSoft, SAP, Kronos, Oracle).
  • Public Job Code: A tracking code is generated automatically, but you can overwrite this with your company’s specific internal requisition number if needed.
  • Duration & Type: Set your employment type (Full-Time, Part-Time, Contractor, Temporary) and start date.
  • Compensation: Fill in the designated salary or hourly wage fields so candidates have transparency.
  • Job Locations: Choose whether the position is Remote (highly recommended for a greater volume of high-quality applicants!) or assign a physical location like Omaha, NE. You can list multiple locations or a hybrid setup.

Where should candidates apply?

You have two options for managing incoming applications:

  1. On-Platform: Check the box that says “Send manager an email.” This notifies you directly every time someone applies via HRISCareers, allowing you to manage applications inside the Dropboard portal.
  2. External Application Link (Most Common): If your company uses an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) like Workday, Greenhouse, or Lever, paste your direct job listing or application link into the External Application Link field. This will seamlessly redirect applicants straight to your company’s careers page when they click “Apply Now.”

Once everything looks perfect, click Post Job.

Step 4: Going Live!

After clicking submit, your job status will initially show as Changes Pending.

While our system states it can take 5 to 10 minutes for caching to update, it typically goes live much faster! Refresh the HRISCareers.com homepage after a few minutes, and you will see your open position listed under current postings.

Our Basic Posting posts your job posting to the HRIS Careers job board for 30 days.  It is not included in our HRIS Careers email newsletter.
